Default HP on wheels

There's a big difference in HP being measured on the engine and HP measured on the wheel.

Is there a way to make the power transfer to the wheel more efficiently? I own a 1990 Excel, it probably has the worst system so upgrading should be worthwhile.

Just a thought...

some people say it's all on the tuning or what clutch, flywheel, etc. but it's hard to depict what actually can give you the most power to the wheels.

So, a better clutch would most likely show some gains in HP on wheels?

Friction should also be reduced in all those moving parts that come between the engine and the wheel, but that would probably cost a lot of $.

Reduce rotating unsprung weight. Wheels and rotors, that would help.
