Default 11:1 82mm Pistons

Has anybody ever tried these out on a 2.0 Beta 2?

Also what are the benefits of raising the compression in a engine and or when do you raise the compression?

If you match those with a good cam, intake manifold, exhaust system, etc... you would see nice gains. They are just stock 1.8 pistons in a 2.0. Higher compression will increase hp and make the engine respond alot faster.

Let's see if I got it right, basically they are just pistons for the 1.8?

And because the stroke of a 2.0 is longer it's going to make the compression higher?

I don't understand, I always thaught that the stroke's going to be longer downwards and not upwards.

Hmm then it's quite a good part to add to my engine.

Thanks WytchDctr

It has to do with the shape of the top of the piston, the extra stroke makes the 2.0 a 2.0.

So the top of the piston has different dimensions, which make for a higher compression and or the piston of a 1.8 is also longer?

Must you run a higher octane when raising the compression and or do you have to enrich the mixture a little?
