Default subaru t.b

ok guys my cusin was throwing away a 91 2.2 subaru legacy motor so i decided i would grab the t.b the thing is the same size on the out side and the size stays the same so its straight through i like it ! so i had to drill the bolt holes out alil to make it bolt up i will let every know if i can gain a lil hp from it after my header comes in this week and i will also be porting my intake manifold temperarily till i get my new one made from boostolgy.com . o;; try to post up some pix of both the manifold and the t.b tomorrow if i get the chance .

no pix yet still portmatching my intake to my head and i still have to get longer studs then i will post up some pix of the whole setup i also ported the intake opening to the size of the t.b im thinking i will gain alil something something on my topend with the whole deal !

Good job time2getawatch glad there are others that think beyond the box. Just so many people beleave if it isn't made specifcally for your car then it will not work for it.

yeah exactly thats y i said what i said in the coolant bypass thread .i have yet to test it out ,i took a picture of the t.b but it was kinda of a shi8y shot and the t.b to me isnt really all that specail jus a bigger on the intake side i dont think im even gona bother posting a pic of it on here ppl probaly will think im lieing about it like its not my t.b or something or prob tell me that its a waste of time so if it adds power with my ported intake ill post and ppl who wana see it ill pm them .

so how is this turning out? i like this making shit fit for your car. i do this kind of stuff all the time. keep us posted. post some pics. i would like to see how this looks. and who cares what other people say. if you can make it work and it work good, bonus. props for going the road less traveled

ok ladies in gents heres the update i got a 1.8 elantra 421 header today and also a revb 1.8 ecu from a 98 elantra , ive also installed the 1.8 intake camshaft im gona try to post pix of the intake manifold and new subby t.b soon

aparently i am goin to have to fab up a bracket to make the tps from my car work on the new t.b will jus see how this goes for now i am using the stock beta t.b

Spikie is using a4.6L TB from a crown vic.We measured the resistance of both the stock TPS and the Ford unit, and they're very close for resistance readout, so we just wired the Ford unit in place. Seems to work OK!
