I need A trans

I have a 2000 elantra and i need a Auto trans soon. i looked online and they want 1600 for a new trans witch in my world is crazy because i can buy a race trans for my camaro for cheaper then that. so if anyone has one or knows where one is please let me know because i need my car to drive to work and well if the trans goes big time then well no money equals my car not getting anyfaster and i was just starting to enjoy beating guys in 6 cylinder camaros and mustangs and teling them they just got beat bye a hyundai.
