Default 1.8 ECU question

Hey im sure this has been asked, but i tried even the simplest of searches; typed only ECU and nothing came up

so my question is what are the advantages/disadvantages of installing the 1.8L ecu into a car with the 2.0l engine ?

1.8ecm= 50/50 on it depends on how cheap you can get it. I would personally save for a stand alone.

Tried 2 different ecm 1.8's of course. The throttle response was excellent but when it was in gears it didn't pull that well. The rev limiter was a little higher. Car sounded raspy and did alot of engine brake back firing. Good note though it didn't like to hang on to rpm's inbetween shifts. I need to try it again since I do have the 1.8 cam now.

as far as a real technical anaylsis nobody has done any real tests other than butt dyno's. I will look later for you for the post I have for which 1.8 ecm to get. The have like 4 different types.
