i bought my 01 tiburon wrecked from a bodyshop which was then fixed and i asked them what make is compatible w/ hyundai and they said they use mitsu parts all the time on tiburons.. my question is this: would it be a hassle or even possible to transplant a 4g63 eclipse engine into a 01 tiburon? any help will be greatly appreciated
By going to "Edit Profile", you can add a car so that it is displayed under your user name. You can also add pictures to you profile so that people can see your car.
Also, you can add an avatar from the collection provided or add a custom one of your own.
You can swap a 4g63 engine into your Tiburon. Only a few people that we know of have done this swap and it would take quite a bit of time and money. It will not be a direct swap. Hyundai used Mitsu engines up until around 1995 then they switched to their own engines.
The engine you have there in now is the 2.0L beta engine which is already a pretty decent engine to work with.
Look around the forums and see what others have done. N/A, forced induction, nitros tuning and the RD forums. RD is the chassis code for 1997-1999 Tiburons and RD2 is the chassis code for 2000-2001 Tiburons.
