Yes. The Elantra is called Avante in certain countries including Korea.

Verna = 2001+ Accents
Turbulance = 2001-2002 Tiburons
Coupe = Tiburon
Tuscani = 2003 Tiburon

Are you sure cause when I was in Korea, they were all Verna's and even on the Hyundai Korea website, they are all listed as Verna's (for the LC2).
http://www.hyundai-motor.com/cyberma...erna/line.html

The 1995-1999 Accents were called Accents and the hatchbacks were called Euro's. They then changed the name to Verna in 2000 with the change chassis and body styling.

Hey I just saw an avante the other day (and we have both accents and avante it seems cause i've just seen 1) and it looks nothing like an accent it was a hatchback and looked nothing like the x3 accent I liked the avante more thatn the 03 accent.

Got me. The K-Spec site lists LC 2-dr as Accent and 4-dr as Verna. Joonie was saying that too. Is it really relevant though?

??? Avante XD is the 2001 - 2004 Elantra. (I believe it's 2004, you'd better check. There are some styling differences) Avante is not the Accent in any way shape or form. You guys just wish it was : But yes, the Avante XD is the newer Elantras. Older elantras, I believe, were just called Avante. Hope this helps.
