Default Hey, could I get a little help please. UK member would be preferable..

..So, I'm running a basic 1.3i Accent. Only mod I've made is my head unit.

I'm adding some 6x9's and 100w amp in a fortnights time and will be throwing off the hubs for some 15's in a month or so.

I want to know what the best way forward is for me. I have an idea of where I want to go with my car, but its just the 'implementing' of my idea's thats taking an age! I've finally stumbled across this site after months of searching!

Anyways, here's what I want to do.
-Lowering. I can have this done locally.
-I want either some side skirts or a body kit. I'm undecided at the moment. I'm not on a budget as such, but understandably as a newb, I don't wanna be going ridiculous with the Visa.

What option do I have where the side skirts or body kit is concerned?
This is the only site I've seen that distributes the said kits. Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK that does this?

I'll appreciate any help thats thrown my way.. just here to learn. Board & site is pretty cool..

Ian

Hi Ian & welcome!......unfortunately there is very little in the way of Aftermarket gear available for the Accent in the U.K. & no body-kit at all!.
There is a kit or 2 available.......but you`d have to bring it in from Australia & shipping costs are horrendous!.
Regarding tuning, you are pretty-much limited to cold-air induction kit, performance cat.-back exhaust & FSE boost valve (adjustable fuel-pressure regulator). I am sure lowering-springs are available.
All the above can be obtained from Demon Tweeks, who advertise in Max Power etc.
Cheers & good luck,
Nick.

not from the UK but since you are very limited in the selection the UK has to offer for your accent...you might be willing to pay the extra shipping cost to get what you really want? Sharkracing.com has quite a few things for the accent such as BBTB and i believe headers too? not too sure on that but you might wanna check out their website...www.sharkracing.com hope this helped some

Thanks for the feedback! ..its appreciated

Thanks for the link.. Hyundai needs more UK based tuning sites!

On the stereo front, I'm going for something different.. the mechanic kinda messed up the intallation IMO. I mean, while I appreciate that not every head unit can fit any car, mine does look messy.

Got 2 mechanic friends who are gonna help me out with various things so I'll take pics of the progression as it happens..

thanks again

Ian

Welcome to the site Ian.

If you haven't seen this link already, here it is.

http://www.hyundaicoupe.info One of our memeber's sites which is based in the UK. Its for the Coupe, but I'm sure they have information about shops and stuff. Many of their members post here.

Nick (VALKYRIE YB70) is one of our many valuable and knowledgeable members on our forums and is very helpful.

Search around for comments about the different online stores and try to stay away from HDK cause there are many horror stories about them. Some people have good luck, but most never see their products.

thanks for all the help!

I'm getting some 15" 'Razor' rims fitted next weekend. I can't remember the name of the manufacturer :ermm:
*edit, they are from TSW. The guy offered me the venoms, but no lol..

I'll post some pics when they are on. System upgrades will begin in a few weeks when my boy is back from Greece..

thanks again
