Default Resonator? Glasspack? WTF?!

I'm finally deciding to seriously upgrade my exhaust system. I want to add a resonator to my setup because I think with just headers->cat->muffler it would be louder than I want. (I'm not trying to be loud at all!) For some reason it seems like "glasspack mufflers" and "resonators" are almost one in the same. I look at a picture on a random performance part webpage and their photo of a "glasspack muffler" looks like the last think I would call a muffler. Way too long and crap. Then I see photos of "resonators" and I get images of mufflers and muffler TIPS!!!! WTF? Maybe I'm way off base or the two terms are shared in some way. Either way, I'd like to know what I'm talking about!!! Thanks!

Default Re: Resonator? Glasspack? WTF?!

glasspack mufflers get louder as they get worn in
resonators make it quieter
