Honest questions in the newbie forum probably wont get bashed.

Alpha, Beta, and Delta are greek letters. Hyundai names their motors by these. The alpha is found in the accent (1.5L SOHC, 1.5L DOHC, 1.6L DOHC), the beta is found in the tiburon and elantra (1.6L overseas, 1.8L in the early cars, 2.0 in most, all DOHC), and the Delta is the 2.7L V6 found in the new Tiburon, Sante Fe, and Sonata.

X3, GK, and LC are chassis codes. X3's are the 1995-99 accent, LC is the 2000+ accent (LC2 is the 03+), and GK is the 03+ tiburon.
