Default pcv valve cap

if im getting excessive blow by because of worn piston rings and a lot of oil is passing through the pcv valve and back into the engine air, does it make sense to use an air filter and attach it to the line that goes to the pvc so it can breath and cap off the other end of the line that goes back into the air intake. that way no oil goes from pcv to air.

took a moment to figure out what you were asking... unless the car is gushing oil out the PCV or you are running boost.. I would not worry about it too much. OIL in the cylinders WILL make your car pollute more and it will make the car prone to detonation because oil mist flashes over so easily in high heat and compression. BUT.. if you are still running a naturally aspirated car.. I would not worry too much.. just start saving your pennies for a rebuild, new engine, or a new car

a breather filter may just gunk up the rest of your bay if it's spraying as much as you say.

i am running boost. it is turbo charged. the oil is not horrible or gushing but right now i have a oil catch can after the pcv valve and it collects a small amount, maybe a tablespoon every 300 miles.
