Default Subwoofer constant thumping

I just installed a new subwoofer. When i went to turn on my car and deck the subwoofer did nothing but thump at the same tempo. When i changed tracks it still thumped at the same pace. I looked around and others say it sould be the RCA cords. I just needed a second opinion.
thanks.

My guess is engine noise. Did you run the RCAs down the opposite side of the car top the power leads??

It almost sounds like a ground loop getting back into the amp, but without knowing your set up, it will be difficult to diagnosis.

Does it happen when the car is off, ignition (electrical) on?

This happens when i turn the ignition on so the deck turns on. I just replaced my old subs with new subs and i was moving my wires around to make room for the new sub and when i hooked everything up the same exact way it started to thump when i turned on the car and the deck.
