Default Ok i'm finally going to ask.

I've wanted to ask this forever. I know i'm going to get slammed but i'm tired of not knowing what this is. here goes-"A beta (twin cam 2.0l) swap" would be your best bet, both cost wise and performace wise. I pulled that from another post obviously so how about it? What is it exactly.?

I'm not sure if this is the answer you're looking for but it's taking the Elantra or Tiburon's 2.0L Beta engine and putting it into an Accent or Scoupe.

There's a few places around here that have Beta engines with less than 10,000 miles for $650 each. I assume you got a quote for a brand new engine from Hyundai. Nobody does that as the benefit is not worth the cost compared to buying a used compression tested engine.

Look around i found mine at a wreckers here locally for $400 with 69K on it.. ran perfect and it's a fairly easy swap.. even with just the engine swap the thing is pretty darn quick... mine will be boosted soon enough which will make it crazy..

can the engine swap also work for a scoupe? Just a general question since we are on the 2.0l beta.
