DIY Tire & Wheel Replacement?
2002 Hyundai Accent 42,195 miles
I just got some new 15" wheels and 195/50/15's tires. Discount Tire is charging me $60 to mount and balance the 4 wheels. Would it be wise to bring them home after the balancing and mounting and install them myself? I'm probably just paranoid but the reason I ask is that these wheels will need hubrings installed and I don't want the wheel studs stripped or the wheels scratched because of the compressor. I should also add anti seize to the bolts. Is it difficult to ask shops to do these things?
