help need my buddy and mine compitition

ok i got a problem and i need help!! my buddy has a 3gen eclipse 2.4l and he is turboing it hes got all the hook up including head work done and a lsd tranny t3/t4 turbo and there hoping to push 300. ME and him have been competeing for awhile but now im stuck. I love cars but who doesnt like being faster. Ive had a auto accent for awhile and im tired of being the slow guy ya know im saving up my money for something good. I wanna send my engine in and have it built good push quite of bit of horsepower but still keep street legal. Can somebody give any ideas, cars to buy, good setups what needs to be done to finally be the fastest. I know it sounds foolish but you know how it is its hard to watch everybody get these bad ass things. And your stuck 6 cars behind on a good day. I mean the best way i can look at it is he still lives at his moms house lol!! but please help

yeah living on your own ftw. i'd say look into a beta swap would be your fastest hp gain or turbo. but since yours is an auto tranny it'll still be slow, hyundai trannys are slushy.

I've done a beta swap on mine and i love it but usually i regret doing it. here's a tip from someone who chose to mod their accent. save your money and buy a better platform to work with. preferably not a subcompact.

Keep the accent beta swap it and turbo it. you'll be the fastest and lightest thing out there.

get a car that already has hp. dont try and make something thats super slow fast. by the time its fast, its still slow

what are you talking about? you take a 2200lb car and put a beta in it and turbo it to about 300-350 whp and you have a fucking beast of a car!

im very well aware of that. but to most, this is very hard to do
