Default '86 Excel GLS. 280k miles!

Hi all. I'm new to this site and am a proud owner of a excellent condition '86 Excel GLS (3door). I've had it for over a year and have kept this baby boy on the road and running. It's bone stock, 5 speed, sunroof, ac (not working), and the factory 13" wheels.

If anyone can direct me to anywhere I can find a body kit for it (and any other parts), It'll be greatly appreciated. I'm looking to keep a garage full of parts for this ride.

LOL! It's an 86 Excel. You won't find ANY aftermarket parts for that car. You should count yourself lucky you can still find regular replacement parts for it.

p.s. your pic doesn't work

Thanks for letting me know my pic doesn't work. I'll figure it out.

Finding parts for this car is next to impossible. The car is in such great shape. I don't want to let it go due to lack of maintenance. I'm seriously thinking this engine is stock. No rebuilds or anything.

That thing looks like it's in incredible shape! IMO I'd keep it fairly stock. Maybe tint it, nice stereo (deck and speakers) and some nice rims and tires. I might even think about lowering it (cutting springs or custom springs would be your only option).

It does look immaculate for an 86! I wonder if Hyundai was using better sheet metal then?
Also wasn't Hyundai using Mitsubishi Engines/Parts in 86? If so then I would swap in a 4G63T (Mitsubishi Turbo Engine). You wouldn't have to worry about not finding parts or aftermarket stuff for that engine, especially if the 86 Excel platform was Mitsubishi based Like my old 91 Excel was, it had a 4G15 and was almost a duplicate of my buddy's 92 Mitsubishi Mirage.

As far as body kits go, the only one that fits your car is the one you modify to fit. Tint the windows for sure, rims are a must and a 2 inch drop would be nice.
