Default Low beams out, high beams must be held

Hi all,
new to the forums, thought I'd give it a try;

I drive a 2008 Accent SE and just recently caught my low beams (both) not switching on; the marker lights will work, but nothing else. The high beams will not come on unless I hold them, which is unsafe in more than one way. (Also, the fog lights currently do not work, but I haven't use them in over a year, so that may not have anything to do with this.)

I am hoping somebody can point me in the right direction as I don't think the 2008 Accent has any relay for the headlights (but correct me if I'm wrong).

So, the short version; Low beams won't turn on, high beams must be held. Any ideas?

You might want to check the bulbs first...this happened to me but ,only one light went out...the high beams worked but one of the low beams was burned out

hey im new on here , but i do a lot of car audio and the bass caused my switch to come loose . i had to hold my high beams to make them stay off . i had to remove the steering wheel and screw in the screws that hold the indicator stick in place . it solved my issue and saved me $75 for a new switch . hope this helps .
