Default mods for automatics

Yay I’m very happy to see this forum up and here is yet another question of mine, are the mods that are out there compatible both manual and automatic, I think a lot of people drive manual for performance but I don’t have one and I was wondering if the parts can go for either engine.

well lets see.

i know the headers go for both autos and manuals just get the 4-2-1 headers for better low end power

the exhaust lol ofcoarse

larger throttle body

just bore out your IM(intake manifold)

strut bar

performance torque converter was widely discussed at one point and i think in all... one person got it lol(because you have to be car-less for a week most likely). this little doo-hickey upgraded by either www.levelten.com or the other place which i forgot will lower the stall speed (is that it) and you will have alot better response down in the low end which kills the autos. cost all together with installation and uninstallation should cost you no more than $650.

aftermarket pulleys?

tranny cooler(my first mod after i destroy this tranny:evil
this only should cost around $60 maybe more, maybe less. its fairly cheap if you think about it, you can install it yourself and it will give smoother shifts and the tranny will take much more abuse. its like an intercooler if you think about it, just for your tranny.

i'll post more or somebody will if i forgot or said something false

Most of the mods that will work on a manual will work on an automatic.

Exceptions of course would be transmission mods.

The other eception is SOME of the CAI for some of the cars do not work with an auto because it can not clear the transmission.

I can't think of any others at this moment.

I also have an auto, and I wondered the same thing. But I found that there is just as much you can do to your auto to make it compete with the 'stick' folk. Go to www.speedstate.com they have all kinds of parts for auto or manual. And if they don't have it, usually they'll get it for you.

Hmmm... that particular site does not seem to be Hyundai-friendly. FYI.
