Well thats your opnion not fact's as i have the zex kit stock fuel pump
and run 36 jet wich is in between 65 shot and 75 shot and have never melted a plug
or had any problems
i have melted ngk's two steps colder and know of many others
who have and even holed pistons with them
plus if you have an dis-2 wich i do the ngk dont last for shit
so again thats just your opinion and inproper tuning
because as long as you use a plug that is known to work
ngk or zex and you melt it your tuning is wrong
and just because it was black and carbon coated does not mean that you were
not lean
as soon a plug starts to go it will no longer burn the fuel properly
so you can not use it as guide for your a/f tuning
and since most fuel injected cars run a lot richer at higher rpm's than lower rpm's
at wide open throttle as long as you are running a dry nitrous setup and now way of
contolling a/f you can run lean at 3500 rpm and pig rich at 5000 rpm
because you never had a problem after that with same setup does not say
you tuning was perfect that day
if tuning was always pefect the top fuel cars would never ever blow up engines
there are all kinds of possibiltys for something to go wrong air density, air temp
bad fuel, carbon build up or some thing like a fuel regulator sticking
so just because something did not work for you does not mean it does not work
Question.
The multiple ground of the +4 would make it wear longer, no argument.
The question is would there be any performance gain to be had by not having the electrode shrouded by the ground leg. As opposed to a traditional plug?
This probably wouldn't make any difference exept in extreme tuning, but just curious.

So finally, which is the correct spark plug( the best!!!, and when I'm saying the best I mean the safest because I personally won't risk for some extra 30$ the $$$$ I've spend for my motor) for nitrous use?Copper-Platinum-Iridium? If anyone has personal experience please share it with specific examples product codes etc.
Hey right now I'm running a Zex dry kit with a 55hp shot and was informed that when using a 55hp shot, no timing retard is needed, but a much colder spark plug (talking two ratings colder) is needed. Just two days prior to the install of the nitrous, I had switched to the bosch platinum +4 plugs and was asked how many times I had squeezed on them. I told the shucks guy 4 or 5 so far. He then went out to my car with me, pulled one plug out and showed me my two day old plug had turned completely black and was about ready to just blow up lol. That day I bought a set of NGK V-Power plugs which are the two ratings cooler, and have had no such problems since even having gone through at least two tanks of the get-up-and-go juice!aranoid:

Thanks, I made a search in the internet and I'll propably buy the v-power or the iridium spark plugs, also here is the http for checking which NGK spark plugs fit your motor (including type, part#,stock#)
http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/apps/default.asp?nav=60000&country=US
Another thing, I used for a few runs my Zex wet Kit, (NO2 jet +55, Fuel Jet the one that corresponds for the +75NO2, I wanted to be sure that I wouldn't run lean) and then I checked my spark plugs and were white :??::??::??:......and I couldn't understand what's wrong, I know that stock spark plugs are not for NO2 use, but they should be black or a strange metallic color if you know what I mean. If anyone has a clue why the spark plugs turned white....:
Ummmm so can anyone tell me what is wrong with Bosch Plat +4's ?
I had them in my accent and it seemed to smooth the rpm band out ... soo as soon as i got my Elantra i did the same and never had a prob with them... am i wrecking my engine ? what would be the best ones?
