I've got 150 on it right now and it's grabbing like a bitch. I'll probably put another 150 before trying out the nitrous.
What's funny is, with all the slipping I did on the stock clutch, and the burnt smells that happened afterwards, it still looked like it had most of it's life left when I pulled it out. :??:

I wouldn't suggest a 100 shot because the manifold will clog up with gas and it won't distribute the nitrous evenly.

From what I understand the Beta engine is pretty durable. If you can make over 200hp with a turbo kit, then making that much with nitrous isn't any harder on the engine.

I would recommend a fuel pump upgrade, better clutch or rebuilding the transmission with more clutches and bands.

You NEED a progressive controller. Trust me, you won't go as quick as you think with just a ON-OFF type system.

You'll also need slicks or drag radials for best performance. Don't BS around with regular street tires. You can get the power down better on the street with a controller, but at the track use the proper tire.

A basic NX kit with GenX2 and basic controller would be around $1,000

You can run a ZEX or NOS dry kit with Crane's Digital Nitrous Controller with larger injectors, you can run 100hp.

My boy Scott makes about 160-170hp and runs 14.7@93-94mph off the bottle.

With slicks, 100hp of nitrous and progressive controller -

Best ET - 12.43
Best MPH - 110mph

That's better than 2 second drop and 17mph increase in trap speed!

The engine will take it with a controller. I've done it ALOT... No broken parts...

is it because he had stock pump and FPR or no ECU to regulate the A/F ratio? i want to run a 75 shot but I also want to get an S-AFC II but I dont have the money for NX kit, S-AFC II, fuel pump and FPR.

so if i can eliminate the need for a FPR and fuel pump for the time being thatd be nice

Just get the NX and an eclipse fuel pump off of dsmtrader for around $20. That'll cover somewhere around the 80-100 shot range.
