Default Zex kit for 04 Accent

I'm sure this question has been answered and I did a serach but nothing came up.. I have an 04 (automatic) Accent and was wondering if installing a nitrous kit would be a good idea. Are they generally made for manuals? Also, which would be a better kit direct, wet, or dry?

Thanks,

Nitrous will work with either manuals or automatics...

The preference of wet, direct, and dry really depends on how much you want to squeeze. I recommend a NX wet kit for your car. Im not sure how much the engine can handle, but i would keep it under a 60 shot.

The Alpha I/II motors can't handle anything higher than a 50 shot...and that's getting dangerously close right there.

Not to start an old thread but I'm spraying a 110 in my pretty much stock LC2 and i have been for about 3-4 months now and it still runs great. If you wanna do it get yourself a wideband sonsor and start rich then lean it out. I don't care what everyone says, these engines can take it if it's done right. Also get an MSD ignition and all safety equipment. Safety first.

if i had the BS flag i'd raise it. u'd have to have more supporting fuel mods than what you have listed in ur sig (which is none).

hopefully ur using colder iridium plugs than stock. You will need more fuel no matter what. what are you using to manage fuel anyway? you dont think your timing needs to be adjusted at all?

PICS?

Well grim, I'm not an expert by any means and you may be right but according to dyno tune website the jets i am using are for a 110 shot. When I installed a wideband for tuning perposes I was running rich while spraying. Maybe all the things i'm doing is wrong and i'm not doing it right but I have cut 1.4 sec off my time and once i get traction and i can launch with nos i will get evan better. If you care to prove me wrong please come down to San Diego and show what i'm doing wrong. I am always open for help. Otherwise you'll just have to believe it. Or not, I don't care. But i can run with cars now that I could never dream of before. After I get my upcoming mods done I'll get it dyno'd and let you know whats what. Have a nice day

All I wanna do is shoot a 250shot going 70 at a 4gear pull.

jk. there really isnt any real cheap way to prepare your car for nitrous.

getting the right plugs and wires a ignition system.
plus updating your clutch and possible flywheel setup.... otherwise your clutch will be gone after 2 or 3 bottles. especially a car with some baggage (miles)

My elantra could pull a rather large boat a few times and run great. Is it a good idea? no. At 110 shot your going to break something on a stock fuel system/stock bottom end. You doubled your engines hp, yeah thats a great idea for reliablity. Is this spraying before the TB or a direct system? Please tell me thats 1.4 secs of the 1/8 because if its the 1/4, upper 15s on 110shot is .. well... not good.
