common place to mount solenoids is off the firewall. tap into the fuel on the end of the fuel rail (the side with the fitting)

on the end of my fuel rail appears to be a plastc piece that looks like a circle with what appears to be the head of a bolt would fit in, how would i go about tapping into it?

its not plastic. its metal and hard as hell to get out. its a fitting that the dealer uses as a test port at times. you have to find the exact same size fitting with a barbed end on it. auto places have them. just measure it once you get it out and match it up.

im not sure how that would work, it doesnt look nearly that large and the bolt shape is indented in the fuel rail.
