It is what it is guys. You don't like it tough. It's being done and it wouldn't hurt to try it out. You know how much an Alpha engine costs? less than $800. A tranny? Around the same. Either way if something goes wrong get a new engine and or tranny and DON'T do it again. Just because people are too lazy to build an Alpha doesn't mean that it's worthless. Oy if it makes you happy...boost the cr@$ outta the alpha and when it blows get a beta.
No its freaking stupid on an accent you want to be close to reliable. Telling people who are trying to learn something like that is doing nothing but hurting them if they actually try what you said. It is what it is… whatever man. Yes our engines are cheap (beta's are actually cheaper than alpha most of the time) but its still alot of work (unless you have your own garage) to replace because you wanted to run 193-i84193841841shot OF DAS NOSS!!!! That’s also a used motor from a junk yard at those prices, so good luck getting a good motor. If this is some toy you don’t give two ****s about, run 250 direct port on a stock fuel pump. I’m sure it would do it once.... or twice. That 110 shot is more than DOUBLING the stock output of the motor. It would take around 16-18psi from a turbo to get that kinda response. Depending on fuel tuning etc. Who runs 16psi on a stock 1.6 with no fuel upgrades on a stock clutch? Its going to break. If I had to guess that 110 shot is actually being sprayed pig rich and is not really making 110. If the fuel pump can actually push enough to run it pig rich. (That is all of course with the newer accents that the 110 shot is being sprayed on)
As far as the scoupe.
Hooking it up to a turboed car, just make sure your a/f ratios stay dead on. Your already at the upper limits of what people have done to an alpha with boost on stock motors. Have you done any internal work? If so Id spray a 35 first to see how it handles it. If your turbo is blowing freaking hot air its possible (ive heard of it more with roots type blowers) to make more than the "shot" rating because of it taking the heat out of the intake charge.
As with all older cars with spray make sure the motor is in good condition. Compression tests etc. You dont want to make a small problem 100X worse by adding that kinda stress on a part thats about to break anyway. Good luck.

Ok...I have to agree. For someone just learning of course not. Didn't mean to sound ****y or di#$ about it. He asked and I just went by i i knew. I figured if he could run a 110 shot on a stock 1.6, maybe he could give him a few pointers.
the scoupe has a very Low Comprsssion 7.5-1 on my 8,5-1 Uno i could boost 2 Bars but that was with a Semi fordged piston.
Ive got turbo pump Extra Injectors and a Massive Intercooler solves all my Pinging problems.
So how must i moniter how much nos the engine can take? just watch the temp? My airfeul ratio's Will be SPOT ON
Okay...
Your scoupe's compression is low because it is turbocharged. It's pushing in an additional 0.5 bar *aprox 7-8*. Most cars with stock internals cannot handle 2 bar because that's 28 psi. That requires intensive prereq. modifications. You'll need at least a good 255lp fuel pump such as a Holley or a Walbro and some good 780cc+ injectors to handle THAT much boost anyways. Evolution's that boost that much usually have 1000cc injectors just so they don't overload their fuel.
I wouldn't recommend putting more than a 50cc or 75cc shot into it at all. You'll need a good engine management program to handle the a/f ratios if you're boosting that high. A SAFCII is a beginner's tool in mapping your fuel, but in order to accurately calculate fuel you'll need a something a little more sophisicated and a LOT more expensive.
Howie~
P.S. Please stop saying NOS... You'll sound like a ricer wannabe if you say that at a performance shop.

wytch i used to run a 75 single nozzle wet shot on my old 98 accent. I had the walbro 255lph fuel pump though. I ran that much of a shot very very often. I had an upgraded clutch also but the tranny and axles never had a problem. that was 4 or 5 years ago i did that and still today my bro drives the car as his daily driver no probs with tranny or motor

very true..
It is impossible to run a 110 shot on the stock fuel pump probably even 1 time. It will go very lean and detonate- probably destroy something

I'm squeezin. Of course between the Dr. and Grim it almost seems I shouldn't post about it.
Let me get this ARC-1 on and a wideband so I can fine tune it and then I'll get it on the Dyno to get the monkeys off my back.
