The reason I left HP was mostly because of the lack of options, and the lameness of the site. It's just so plain and old. Change is good. Lack of features also made the site kind of bland and outdated.

- PM Features
- Map for Members, grabbing locations from the member profiles and automatically posting pins on the map
- Search features that searches a little better and faster. HP's search feature is a little slow :
- Member list, ability to search members and member posts
- Member list, ability to search for members in your state/area (increase offline community contact)
- easily updateable website (ability to change color codes or themes, maybe style sheets)
- keep the active topics link
- member garage or ability to upload signature pics to the site
- basic chat room features with something at top of site to notify when members are chatting

I used to be on the HP Website Planning group but I guess I've been kicked out

Some good stuff Majik. The initial release of the "new" version will have full functionality that was always promised for this current version. The tricks that Rob has up his sleeve are pretty bad ass.

one thing too, the "show all" doesn't stick. If you set it, then try to click on one of the far pages (80 or so) it gives a mysql error. the -2 for the V form variable does not get carried accross for some reason. I had to hack up a little thing here to generate links to go to the pages: http://agentmoo.com/tools/hpofftopic.cfm

agentmoo - The view topic options will all be functional when it's re-released along with more selections.

pimpmy - The whole look will be changing, including colors. 8D

I like most aspects of HP. I would agree with the above comments about having PM's (very valuable) and a Do It Yourself section (a forum and a page like we use).

I've always liked the color scheme here, although I understand people asking for different schemes. The problem is there aren't too many that are easy on the eyes, which is the most important part of the site. I've been to sites with black/red, black/dark blue, green/red, white/dark green and after a while you don't want to be on the site anymore.

map
spell check
Clock thats not 27 1/8 min off or something. Maybe timezones would help with this. Have the page say what time they posted it at in their zone and which zone they're in.

I don't like the interface, the signature spot looks crowded and full of garbage, the layout is terrible, there are too many drop down menus everywhere... SQL and other errors (PHP to name one) happen often... I'll take the slowness of the old BB then the speed and comlexity (and it's unique looks) over this dime-a-dozen interface.

In short, it looks like a two years old boy designed it.
