I understand but no one goes here now............so now what?
Now it stands as a repository of knowledge, the years of trial-and-error, and some of the very first projects concerning Hyundai vehicles. Between this and Hyundaiaftermarket, you have the Library of Alexandria when it comes to Hyundai performance, tuning and modification.

Hyundai Aftermarket is actually older than HP if you consider the fact that it originally started out as TSR, and formed its way to HA. All of the archives from over the years are on HA, and if HP were to ever go down or be closed up, I would incorporate all of the threads and posts from here to there.
I think the big issue that alot of people are straying from here is because of the ads and spam and slowness of the site. This site and HA are the biggest non-model specific Hyundai forums on the internet. I would hate to see this place die without having somewhere for all the archives or members to go.

Yer. I might begin c&p'ing all the more vital threads I've made over the years to HA as a means of pre-emptive protection.

LOL, I might not post Jed but I do read it. To be honest there's nothing I can say except that you're doing things right and doing them well. That is very good work for the budget you've put out, and I'll bet you've managed to stay below it too.

I haven't updated it in a while, but im getting back my ported, polished (maybe, I may hve to do the polishing), plained, and 3 angle valve job head this week! Also, Liz is sending me MSD, tach adapter, and cooler plugs originally designed for an Aston Martin (amongst other things lol), and a milder (less duration) cam is in the works: This one is ineffective (too aggressive) for my application.
I may have to rejet the carb, as my oil smells like carbon and im sure the cylinder bores are covered in unburnt fuel, as when I mash the gas down, BLACK SMOKE EVERYWHERE!! Sometimes, some oil sneaks by the valve seals and we get a nice mixture of burnt oil as well! Only coolant is missing from the mix!

Sounds bloody good. And yeah, it IS about time to reco that head of yours. I'll probably be reco'ing my engine pretty soon, its done 3 years of club racing without a rebuild and the bores/rings might be a bit tired now. I know I need to reco the turbo as well(the comp blades have eaten their fair share of things) so might as well rebuild it to withstand higher revs(8k and above) Going for the 550-600hp zone now, so it should be gobs of fun!
How's your chassis holding up BTW, and do you still have the other Pony's?
