Default I'm SCrewd.

my first speeding ticket in the lc, was doing a 92 on a 55,

this may sound like a excuse but i was just trying to get this annoying civic off my rear,

i tried changing lanes but he sticked close and if i tried braking he'd slow down behind me

the ticket said i was charged with a criminal disdemeanor of reckless driving

so i know my punishment is either, comm service, monster fine or license suspended or revoke or driving school

i will tell the judge that i admitted i was speeding but not in a wreckless manner, the road ahead of me was open with no traffic and i was just trying to be defensive

should i go to driving school and on the court day give him proof of it and ask him to suspend his ruling for 90 days to prove that i'm a responsible driver
and after 90 days of clean driving and a few hours of community service..ask him to dismiss the charge?

the law code for my citation was 46.2-862

Either way..lawyer or not, i'm gonna be shelling alot from my pocket..

i'm sure the driving school, and calibration estimate will help a bit in my favor..
i'm not gonna plead guilty though

i'm gonna be frank with the judge and tell him i wasn't speeding in a reckless manner,
i just got involved with a offensive driver who's been tailgating me..

the fact that the road ahead of me had no traffic so i wasn't in a situation of endangering myself or other motorists

It's your life Tak, but you really need a lawyer for this one. You can probably still get out of it altogether. Sure it's not cheap, but how much will your insurance go up with a reckless driving conviction on your record? The answer is probably a lot more than you would spend on the lawyer.

Read this:
Virginia reckless driving 46.2-852 and 46.2-862 explained by Virginia traffic attorney/lawyer
