Default 2000 Tiburon Needs More Power

Alright, so this is how it is. My friend owns a automatic '03 pontiac grand prix and insists that his car will beat my Tiburon in a race any day, and calls it a shitty little girl car. So we have agreed to a set legitimate race day near the end of next summer, and although I'm confident I will win, I want to make sure that doesn't happen. So I'm here looking for ideas on what I can do to give my car more power by then. I was originally thinking turbo, but I've had a very difficult time finding one, so if you know of where I can find one (price isint really a problem, money can be made again, pride is forever.) or if you know of how I can increase my power, any info would be really awesome. As of now all I have on it is stock, it's also an SE but I'm pretty sure that's just interior and options, nothing to do with performance. And would taking out my cat converter and replacing with a patch do anything for me or does it need the back pressure? Thanks, any replies would be super helpful.

Don't be an idiot and race on the street.

Stock vs stock, your tib is SLIGHTLY faster (15.4 to 15.9). That's comparing a 3.8L vs the 2.0L in the Tib. If he drives a GTP, you'll lose. If he has the 3.1L in his Grand Prix, you'll smoke him easily.

He might say you drive a girls car, but at least you don't drive grandpa's car like him.

base? With the 3.L1 or the 3.8L? If he has a 3.1L start laughing now.
