Default aftermarket ignition

Not really sure where to put this. But we were talking about ignition systems a little in class the other day and I was wondering if anyone has heard if anyone makes aftermarket coil-over-plug ignition system.

MSD makes a coil-on-plug system. The best choice for an ignition for Hyundai's is the MSD DIS-2, because our cars have distributor-less ignitions.

I couldn't find anything related to coil-over-plug on the MSD website. But you would recomend just getting the DIS-2 module and not trying to convert the coils?
Thanks for your help.

Correct. Get the DIS-2 and some good wires. Our stock coils are actually pretty good. If you're planning on staying N/A, get the MSD-6211. If you're planning on adding a turbo, go with the MSD-6212.

Ibelieve you will aslo need a tec-adaptor for the ignition to work on our cars. I believe the part Number is PN 8912 or PN 9812. Look on summit Racing.

well, a couple of people have told me that the MSD is woking fine on their cars without the tach adapter, so I'd get just the MSD and try it. If your car won't start, then get the adapter.
