I'm looking at buying a cold air intake for my 01 manual Tib and I look at all the sensors and I don't really know much about them. How am I gonna hook the two sensors up that are after the air filter box and the one sensor that plugs into the airfilter box?? I look on ebay and see intakes with just one circle sensor hole cut out and i get confused and help is greatly NEEDED thanks:bandit:
the round thing you were talking about is your maf. it is in the top of the pic. right down below that is the air temp sensor that is in you intake box. if there is another one sensor in you intake box i don't know what it is. mine only had the one+the maf.
i have a 2001 Manual Tib and I got the AEM CAI. I saw an ebay "Buy It Now" for $153.99 which is a great price. There is only 1 sensor you need to worry about when removing your old one and putting a new intake and thats your air temp sensor. There is a hole in the AEM for it already and all you need is your sensor and the rubber "O" ring type thing thats holding it in.... if you get it and need questions answered for installing it email me or get my aim name off of my profile, ill be glad to help
Yeah I got the AEM and it's a piece of cake. like they said U just have to romove the one sensor from your old air box and plug it into the whole in your new intaake. It obvious when you get it.
The other "sensor" I think your talking about it the one attatched to that plastic black round part. that stays there, U just attatc h you intake to that and clamp it with the supplied calmps.
I love my AEM and would recommend it.
Good luck,
Rojas

Rojas, Do you have an auto?...Was just wondering if u had noticeable gains with the AEM. I'm kinda in a toss up at the moment on what will give me most bang for the buck, new exhaust or the AEM CAI....what u think man:?

I have a manual. They work best in combination. good flow in... good flow out. More flow more go! I don't have an exhaust yet. Have headers coming and exhaust parts, all shold be installed in a little over a week.
Best bang for the buck... I think I'd go with the EAM Intake. It is less hassel and cheeper. Others might be able to tell U better.

Oh, to answer your question... U can feel a difference. Nothing out of this world. But it pulls a lil harder.... Sounds a lil louder.... And particularly in 1st gear it seem to rev up to red line a lil faster (might just be me though).
Once I get my headers and exhaust it should be even better.
hope I helped.
