Default Anyone find an inexpensive solution to the weak 5th gear problem?

I've been hearing alot of this from some of the turbo guys.

The 5th gear of our cars are notoriously weak. Thats why alot of the korean drag racers either go with an aftermarket sequential tranny (mucho $$$$) or just make their cars top out at 4th gear.

My question is, has anyone found an economical solution to this problem? Obcviously, i'm not planning to spend 15grand on a sequential transmission.

We're looking into new (stronger) 5th gear replacements for the store, but I honestly have no idea when they'll be available (sorry).

fifth gear should survive about 230hp.

If you are making more HP, you should have the cash to get a machinist custom up a new fifth gear.

its not the hp thats the problem from what I hear...its the torque.

The fact that there hasn't been a viable solution to this problem found yet just discourages me.

okay, how about 230torque?

Again, there is a viable solution. Go get a custom gear cut.

They do have them in Korea, we're just deciding which ones to get (which ones are best for the price, etc).
