Default Turbulence ECU remap?

A friend of mine said that one of the local Hyundai dealers has an ECU program for the turbulence version of the tiburon. Now, I've got a 2k1 tib, and I didn't think that there was any difference between the turbulence version (I assume the korean spec name) and the car I have. If there is a difference and if it would work for my car, would it be worth it to see if the dealer would reprogram my ECU?

Your friends dealer is talking crap
There is no difference that I know of between the Turbulance and standard ECU maps... Same goes for the F2Evo map... Make the changes (Cam and Catback) that the Turby/F2Evo has and just reset your ECU by dropping the battery and using any residual charge.
CLUE - I just had a chat with a dealer this weekend who had had an F2Evo come back for garage warranty work (Hyundai Warrenty expired by dealers own warranty for 12months after purchasing 2nd hand). The ECU was shot, so he pulled one off of a 99 SE fitted it and sent the F2Evo owner off with a smile on his face as his car had been fixed in 30 minutes.... Dealer then puts in a parts order for a new 99 ecu from Hyundai for the car that he had pulled it from...

Right on. I didn't think there was any change, but I needed to make sure..

Although your story sounds like it alludes to the fact that they're the same, maybe the guy at your dealership was just screwing the F2Evo owner.

Just a thought...:chinese:

I know what you mean, but this is my local dealer and I trust them, not only with my car, but anyone elses... They are trying very hard to be come the regional used Coupe specialists, and would not pull a stunt like that.... Unless they owner was a complete Bstrd to the staff (which he wasnt!)
