Hi, I need some help in trying to make big HP gains 4 my Tiburon! I only have a rear section of the muffler and with an Apex-i style universal muffler with a custom made CAI with the Arospeed FMS (intercooler style intake). I aslo have a B&M adjustable fuel pressure regulator installed. But 1 thing is that I run my car with 60 PSI of fuel but the car doesn't feel to rich though.....in fact I tried 70 PSI but still the car felt the same way. All these just to make a dissapointing 16.70 ET @ 82MPH. With a RT of 711, 60feet in 2.88sec., 1/8 10.81sec. and a heck alot of wheel spin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......Please help out guys....I wanna beat a friend of mine who owns a 1st gen CRX with a 1.6L DOHC V-TEC and he's so damnshow off!!!!!!:devious: I wanna kick his BUTT!!!!:rambo:
I don't think a B&M adjustable fuel pressure regulator will help you in anyway. If you have a custom CAI, midpipe and muffler I don't see the fuel pressure regulator doing anything.I don't think you need one unless you running a big shot of nos or a turbo.
A turbo would do the trick, but how has $4,000+ laying around (need to save first). For now I'd look into the fallowing:
AEN CAI (unless you happy with yours)
Headers and finish you exhaust with hight flow cat &bigger pipes
DX intake cam
RU crank pulley
BIM
BBTB
a little at a time if the $$$ is an issue. But that should give you some kick with out haveing to spend the BIG BUCKS on turbo. not untill ya ready anyways.
I should have all this (the cam might take a little longer) plus an APEXi S-AFC installed within the next 10 days.

Your 60ft is bad. You need to work on your lauches. You'll take .2 off your time easy with the right lauch.
Do you have stock tires or aftermarket? Rims or not?
Lauches should not have a whole lot of wheel spin. Launch around 3500 RPM.. just enough for a little wheel spin, but you shouldn't be spinning all of first. If you are, then your times will suffer.
I get times of 16.8 @ 3000 ft altitude. But my 60 ft are around 2.4 - 2.6 sec. Bring down your 60 ft and your times will go down too.
Unless you can pull ahead of your friend in the CRX to begin with (which the tib if fully capable of, since it has better torque) you can take him. Now if he has the 160 HP vtec, it's going to be pretty hard to beat him, since those little cars are so light.
