Default Short shifter

I'll prob. get yelled at for this but I had a hard time trying to search for it. I must be a little hung over yet:sleepy:. Anyways I was curious if anyone has a short shifter and what they think of it. I kinda like the B&M one but unsure how the install goes. IS it something I could do in a couple of hours or is it an all day affair? Maybe someone could point me in the right direction? I sure could use the help. thanx

Try searching again when you feeling better:

from what i remember reading, and correct me if i'm wrong, B&M is a good shifter compared to the SR Short shifter that has broken on some people and you have to cut to put it in. That is why i will be picking the B&M.:

go with the B&M it is probably the best shifter currently on the market. One of the nicest things about it is that you don't have to do any cutting to install it like some others that are on the market.

Install will be easy and can be done in a couple hours. It isn't currently listed in the store but it will be.

Well thanks guys for the info. I think I'll take the B&M seeing as there is no cutting involved. I don't think I'll want to be hacking away at something, especially when I'm not sure on what I'm doinguzzled:. Thanks again

there is a lot of cutting for the shark racing short shifter, and it sucks to do that cutting.. also, there is a lot of play in the shifter.. which brings up my question, is that normal for this shifter set up, or did i screw up.. also, even after the cutting, am i still able to order the B&M shifter

Yes, you have to cut the plastic base plate for the SR shifter. Not the B&M one.

yeah, you shouldn't have a problem installing a b&m even after the cutting for the sr....i dunno about the play in the sr shortshifter...did u use all te bearing seals? my obx one has way too much play so im thinking about going with the b&m one.
