Default Question about headlights...

Didn't know where to post this, but figured this would be best since the 97-99 tibs had 9005 and 9006 lights...

Had a bulb burn out today and low and behold I found a burnt headlight casing... I have had to change this before, so off to the local Auto Zone I go! I get there and realize that they have replacements for both 9005 and 9006 sockets... I know that 9005=low beam and 9006=high beam, but I wondered what would happen if I changed them all to 9006 bulbs and casings? I decided to try, so I bought both sockets... long story short the 9006 socket worked... My question is will there be any future problems or should I be O.K?:hmmm:

Hummm... interesting. You can also aim then lower if they are too bright, that might help. There is a place where you can adjust them with a philips screw driver (it in your manual).

Let us know how the work out and if they are an inporvement for visibility.

Does anybody have a good brand they could recommend for headlights?

PIAA Super Plasma, the best and offers a light with a purplish tint.

Sliver Star is under this, and offers a pure white light with a touch of purple.

I will go with anything else under this from Hiper Industries to Tucan, and they all offer a blue light.

Honorable mention is out to both Tucans and Nokya's purple bulbs, they still suck like the blue bulbs above, but are purplish.
