Default idle rpm

What rpm do your tibs idle at? Just wondering, mine seems a bit high.

When I first start mine, it will jump to around 2,000 RPMs for a sec(When cold) and then come back down to 800. It idles around 800 rpms. Winter time, it idles a little lower because of changing weather conditions. Redshark, it could be the temperature changes. Temperature and weather conditions have an effect on how a car runs. When its colder out, the car uses up more gas, noises occur that you may not here before with expansion/contraction of the parts. I guess your car has been a little "under the weather" lately with this and the clutch problem. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Damn I'm funny. That was a good one! (Gives self a pat on the back) Not really. I hear no one laughing. Oh boy, I think I' ll shut up now.

I guess mine is a bit low then, mine idles at about 550 or so, it has since new, maybe closer to 600. Is this a problem? to low?

TJ tib...if you feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel while idling around 550 to 600, then bring it in to get adjusted. It should be around 700-800rpms.

uhm, mine idles at about 1000 to 1200 rpm. Good or does this not matter? I have also noticed when it's cold it idles at 2000 rpm, especially when i'm running late and don't let it warm up. When i hit the first stop sign the rpm stays around 2 grand.
