Tib parts that fit Elantras - Hyundai Performance Forums

I know this is a partial Tiburon post but since I learned it has some similarities to the 02 Elantra figured I'd ask you Tib experts some things. I bought the underdrive performance pulley for the 01 Tib for my car and it worked wonders...what other performance parts are interchangeable? Also any none performance similarities? Like handling, interior and so on!

The '02 Elantra has the Beta2 engine, so any internals for the '03 4-cyl. Tib should work. I know they changed alot of stuff from the Beta1, so I don't know how much other stuff will work. I know the '01 Tib CAI won't work because it's designed for a car with a MAF sensor. Your '02 has a MAP sensor instead. Suspension stuff for the '01 Tib should fit, but it will not be calibrated for your heavier Elantra.

I forgot the 03 Tib even came in a 4 cyl. since everyone buys the V6 model. Have to check that out. The suspension for the 01 Tib is different from the 02 Elantra but the 01 Elantra has the same suspension so I can go there for that. Any place in particular I could find out if the engine specs are the same between the 02 and 03 model? Or should the dealer be enough?

'01 and '02 Elantra's should have the same suspension. '00 was the last year of the old bodystyle, '01 is when they changed it.

Yeah I know that because everyone points you to the 01 Tib or Elantra as far as suspension goes. That's cool though. Just curious because I know I can salvage some parts from some junked 01 Tib's if I knew what fit and would increase performance...kinda the main thing.
