No. Hyundai Does not share parts or technology with BMW. This is a rumor going around T-H-C.

They also had a rumor that the 2001-2 Elantra motor (with map sensor and changed head) is actually a Daimler/mercedes motor. No, it is a 100% hyundai motor. The rumor was started by Daimler/Chrysler taking a 10% stake in Hyundai Motors.
