Default 1/4 times?

hey everyone. dont think i'm a troll but i dont drive a tib (or a hyundai for that matter)

some guy in a pastel yellow tib started hastleing me about my car and how i look like my mom bought my car for me (not the case, but it doesn't matter) anyway... he starts shooting his mouth off and whatnot, so i'm meeting him tomorrow to race for money (when i say meeting, it's more like me finding him to pimp him out of 50 bucks...)

so what's a 2l tib run in the 1320? this guy said he would put on "twin greddy turbo's with twin HKS Bov's" right....

anyway, just wondered what peoples experiences were at the track in their tibs.

fwiw i know i just met a jerk driver, and it reflects only on himself, not tiburon owners in general... i was going to be nice and comment on his intake/exhaust... but he didn't really leave me much of a chance

thanks for any comments you can give me. once again please dont think i'm trolling your site. your site is definately better looking the Vwvortex =)

NMAX dude whats up...well i'm on both sides, i got a '97 Tib, and i got a '84 Rabbit GTi. i love both cars. but obviously my rabbit is just my daily driver...but anyway, my tib ran a 16.4 in the 1320...with a K&N drop in filter, on 17" wheels, and with a slipping clutch. well tibs are capable of low 16s all day, and possibly 15.9 by a great driver on a good day!!!! thats my opinion. Well thanks for not bashing us all.

p.s. you can check out my car at my webpage!

nice! good to hear a friendly voice =)
ever think about a 18t hybrid rabbit?
what's your URL? i'm always down to see what other people have done to their VW's.

anyway, i know the kid wasn't Forced induction (no sounds. unless he was running a TINY turbo that vented back to the intake, or a TINY supercharger that for some reason didn't make any noise), it doesn't sound like i have much to worry about, except where to spend my 50 bucks...

haha. if you can get a hold of the 18t for cheap (they arent cheap from what i've seen) that would be one badass little swap, my APR'd 18t makes my lump of a Jetta (3k pounds) get up and move pretty decent... i think in a rabbit you would have a hard time keeping the front wheels on the ground. =)

nice tib too. would look nice with a spearco FMIC =)

haha. but adreneline makes some dope cars. like the 18t Sicorroco (how ever you spell it. bleh), LSD, huge turbo, FMIC, injectors, other fuel rail goodies, suspension, puts down like 330 to the wheels... he was spanking porches at One lap of America. good times =)

A guy I work with has a scirocco with a 2.0L engine swap. The motor puts down 170HP to the wheels N/A, and the car weighs only 1,950lbs. It's a rocket.

So nmap, what is your car putting out as far as power goes?

Stock it's 150HP / 155ft.lbs. / 2,952 lbs. So stock for stock, I think the tib could take you, being 10HP less, and 366lbs. lighter.

I noticed "4 bar"...that's insanely huge man. So what power are you putting out anyway?

yeah. just a 4bar fuel pressure regulator. i'm APR equiped, running 1.1bar of boost. should put down 180hp/200+ tq or so to the wheels (196 - 200hp, 240+tq to the crank) (at sea level)...

i'd also have the advantage of being Forced induction at 4500 feet, my friends naturally aspirated VR6 jetta runs out of go juice up high (i'd still beat him at any elevation though =D )
