bbtb question

I was reading something on shark racings bb that you need to bore out your intake manifold to benefit from a bbtb.
Does that mean it would be completely useless just to buy one and bolt one on ?

Naw everything will fit nicly, its just a pain in the ass getting your rubber intake tubbing back on the throttle body.

Thanks, just don't want to waste my money if it won't do a darn thing. I already have a speedstate cai on the way, so I 'll be yanking it apart soon anyhow.
