Well, I'm planning on buying a new car next year and I've got my options. Subaru WRX, Prelude SH, Accord, and then the Tiburon...see what doesn't belong?
Here's the thing. The Tiburon is extremely cheaper than all the other cars so I'd like to hook it up with everything if I got one. What can you do to a Tiburon? I've seen a supercharger for it, but what else is there? Thanks!
i see what doesn't belong... the prelude and accord tibbies are the best. and there is a decent aftermarket for it, too
Put it this way I will race an wrx, prelude sh or anyother car and beat them. my car ran a quater mile quicker than the wrx, I would love to race one. You can get hedders the whole exhaust system big bore throttle bodies, intakes, nitrous, lowering springs, short shifters, strut tower braces, turbos, high performance pistons and rods, you name they have it, I have most of that excluding the turbo, and my car hauls ass!!
Straight out of car and driver the wrx does the quater mile in 14.7.If theres one thing that people know that have been to the track is magazine numbers don't mean anything. I've seen acura integra type R's beat wrx's. They are fast but it all comes down to the driver and real street racing. 14.7 is probably with a professional driver. The average person would probably run a 15. My tiburon has Big Bore Throttlebody, cams, cold air intake hedders, full exhaust, short shifter, zex nitrous, lowering springs, 16 inch rims, strut tower braces. I have raced 5.0 mustangs and won. wrx's are fast but turbos have to spool up, nitrous is instant. leave your competition in the purple haze...
Anyway, I don't really care what magazine numbers say, my supervisor has a wrx, and I've driven the crap out of it a bunch of times. It hits a 14.5 just fine.
