It depends on which model of the new Tib you get. The 4 cylinder version will be right around the same price area, while the V6 will be a few thousand more.

It all depends on your opinions of the styling too. You might care for one body style more than the other like most people. Personally, I'd wait for the 2003.

Hi, I personally like the current model of the Tibby, the new 2003 is nice and all but I like mine better.

I would stay away from 2003 it's the first year for the model and that's where the cars seem to have most of their problems.I would go with what has been proven to be a great car, a car that has placed fear in the eyes of many ricers-The 2001 2.0l tiburon.Run ricer run but you'll never catch me.......

i'm waiting for the 03 with the v6...plus HMC is really trying to become more in the US, so I'd anticipate they really focus on the 03 being the best it can be...

yeah it's heavier, but i also heard it'll be 200 hp...so it'll be like the eclipse, but lighter weight than that.

but if you want the 4cyl, the 01 is the way to go fo sho

I'd take a 2003 4 cylinder for the sole reason that it looks better. I never cared for the large fender flares of the 1st and 2nd gen Tib.

Also, TWINCAM, the Tib will be out in Korea for 6 months before we get it, plus they've been designing this thing for 5 years, the past 2 was actually building them and testing them. There won't be any of the "first model year problems".

Every car has unanticapated problems it's first year out or even it's 2nd year out. theres always room for improvement. I just wish they'd make a 2.0 turbocharged tibby. That way you get the lightweight of the 4 cylinder but the awesome power of the turbo.Subaru does it so hyundai should catch on.Gives us all wheel drive too!

Now that I would kill for. I love the 2001 styling, but more power and AWD out of the factory...drool. The 2003 will be very nice adn quite fast, so it's all up to you man.

I'm cool...
