Default 1997 tiburon insurance

Does anyone have an idea or the price range of insurance if your 20-21 with 2-4 speeding tickets but your an occasional driver on a 1997-1998 tiburon. I was planning on
buying a 1997 tibby and letting my mom or sister own the car and i would be an occasional driver so my insurance wouldn't be so high. I just need to know what i would be paying , what i should do too avoid paying high insurance or if it is even worth it to buy the car. I live in thunder bay ontario so the prices would problably be different to yours if you don't live here. This would be a big help if you can answer this ?

Thanks

it's probably be a lot.. i pay 250 a month(CDN) for my 95 accent and i'm 18 with 1 ticket... the car is in my parent name (cheaper that way) but i'm primary driver since we got 3 cars... if you ocasional i think it's only like 150 or so a month (i think that's what it was) might be more for the tibby

!st off, there is a big difference in cost if you have 2 vs 4 tickets. There is also a rate reduction at 21 vs 20.

Most insurance companies will not allow you to be listed as an occasional driver if your parents already have cars listed in their name. Also, you may not be elligible with some insurance companies to be listed on your parents insurance.

Your best bet is to shop around for price on your own with the EXACT information of your driving record. The company that is higer with 2 tickets may not be the higher one if you have 4 tickets.

We only have 1 car in our family it is a 2000 elantra. And only i am insured
as an ocassional driver. But if I buy a 97 tibby and my mom owns the car
i just need a price quote on what the insurance will be as an occassional driver because
i will be taken off the insurance on the elantra.
How do you think of this plan?
