Default last date for 99

I have a 99 tib.. production date of April 12, 1999. I am getting really sick of getting the wrong parts for my car. Even the dealership has had problems getting the correct parts.. even when I give them the VIN. I am constantly getting parts for the 2000.

I will admit my car is weird. It is not an FX (99 was the last year for them) but has the good FX goodies... rear discsand 15" rims (replaced with 16" enkei's) It does not have the leather interior, the FX centre consol, or the sunroof... It also rolled off of the truck with 1500 miles on it. What are the chances I bought some sort of factory development mule? The running gear is pure 2000. When I lost the drain plug for the oil (don't ask) the 99 plug was the wrong size.. but the 2000 fit perfectly.

My car is a 1999 Tiburon SE. The VIN lists it as an FX. All '99 SE models are listed as FX.

Date of Manufacture: April 4, 1999. I don't have a problem at all getting parts for my car.

That is what I was trying to figure out... My Tib has a first gen body and interior.. but appears to be a second gen underneath.. there are changes believe it or not.. small ones, but enough to make buying parts a bit.. well, difficult. Even the dealerships I have visited have had problems with it.
