I did and it's because I share my car with someone that doesn't know how to drive a Manual. The only cars that I've raced and beat me, was a Tib with a Manaul-tranny and a Elantra GT with a Manual-tranny. That race was close though...very close. I had to stop racing so I guess he beat me."?"
If you don't like an Auto just take look at BatLords Auto Tib and you will change your mind about yours...that's you have one.

He is trying to prove that an Auto can go a long way in regards to speed. Soon I'll be doing the same project with the only difference, am going to do Forced Induction Tuning on my car. I think Bats car is mostly for show but he is doing N/A Tuning on his car right now.
Take a look at his car in the forums called show room and it's under "My Tibby - let me start with the teasing"
It is tight.

I got an auto. because my parents wouldn't let me get a manual. But just wait til I get my turbo, then it'll all be over...

Drive it like you stole it.

I owned an auto tibby before I bought my 5 speed. Don't waste your money on the auto. trade it in.The reason I say this is hyundai transmissions suck! You put a turbo or supercharger on an auto and you'll kill it quick. Also the power difference between the auto and the stick was totally different, drive a 5 speed and you'll see what I mean theres so lag from the tranny it's much smoother and quicker.

You can always do a LevelTen upgrade
From peolpe who have done it have had only good things to say about it.
It's the best thing you could do for an Auto, especially if your going to go with a Turbo/Super charger.

hi guys, well many of you have the wrong impression from autos, yes they are weaker and the power loss it's unbelievable, but it's possible to supercharge it and/or turbocharge it... have many of you already forgotten that one of DRAGON FABRICATIONS turbo tib is automatic... yes it takes more modifications to make the transmission stronger, but once those changes have been made they are also too last much longer... I know of guys that blow their clutch every single year, why? it's a 5speed shouldn't they last forever, well no, every transmission has it's weaknesses... mine blew, but maybe theirs things I should have done to it before that, like getting it from LEVEL 10 or going thru DF and having them bulletproof it... but thats something I learned... as someone said, I will show that an auto can be made to go fast, not by a COMPANY but by myself... yes it's mostly show, but I've also been one of the only few that have really dynoed my power, most of you guys out there claiming you beat this and that with your 5-speed how can you if you haven't shown your true power... don't just purchase products, please purchase them and dyno them... how do you know that what you purchased has gained you HP? how do you know you haven't lost any???

well all in all I just want to say not to put down autos, please don't, yes it will take more money and more mods, but if these are your reasons than you are in the wrong hobby my friends... wrong hobby... this is a hobby for life like in the 50's people are still working on those cars... so think lifetime, and not just a quick boost if that's what you want then get NOS, but in my eyes that's not taking what tuning is to it's max if you stop there...

have fun and be safe no matter what you have an auto or 5-speed...

My point is most people on this site don't think about the importance of strengthing the trans. They just modify and go. Than when the tranny blows there like "what happened, I don't understand".
