Default burning smell

I'm getting a burning smell from my motor when i punch the gas this happen to anyone els I only notesed this after my cai was installed:??:

next time you smell the burning smell look at your tempurture gage and see if it is running hot

no the temp is fine. and it smells like metal burning

did you look at your motor for any oil on it

are you doing it for long periods of time, it could be your tranny.

but anyways, if you push your car, it will have some sort of smell to it but it could be serious so get it checked out

yea im going to get it checked at the dealer this week it normaly happens when im highway driving and i pass a car. my car is automatic and when im onthe highway in od it seems like the motor is reving higher than normal around 4000 rpm its my first outomatic so not real sure where it should be

That depends on how fast you are going. Have you reset the ECU since you put on the CAI? Have you checked to make sure you don't have a cracked exhaust manifold or a gasket that is leaking?
