is there any mods you can do to get some of your low end power back without buying expensive stuff. putting the xd cam in my tibby, and I know it will take somemore of my almost gone low end power. what about modding the throtel roter for better response or something. (you know something cheap)

what's cheap to you? cheap to me is 300 bucks. for 300 bucks, you can get a new throttle body. that should help you out with low end. how about cai? no more than $200. or u can have your im bored, about $200. headers? $200. change piping from headers to muffler: ~$200 anything you do won't be "cheap" as in less than $100.
if you don't want to spend more than $50, just slap on a cone filter instead of a cai. but why waste that money when u can get an aem on ebay or here for under $200.
i just saw your mods. since you already have the exhaust, get a throttle body or im bored.
i just got my im and throttle body at 61mm and it pulls low end like woa. its worth it, although some might say it does no good...my butt tells me it does.
I thought that intake and exaust mods helped your top end??? how long did it take to get your manifold and TB bored out I could prolly do that myself I think with the right tools from my work its a hydraulic shop and machine shop mabe ill get one of the techs out back to help me out. how do they bore it with a miny grinder or something ?????

intake and exhaust mods only hurt the bottom end if you go overboard. What you want is to keep up the velocity of your gases moving through the engine... if you get too big with the exhaust or intake, you will slow them down. Properly sized pieces will increase the power across the board.

yeah, get a lighter pulley, from unorthodox or shark racing, though do a search and read up on its potential dangers and decide for yourself:

the XD cam isn't going to help bottom end too much, i noticed the greatest power gain throughout higher RPM's, but that just be the way my car is tuned *shrugs*
there's always the option of bottle feeding your tib (nawwwwzzz) :rambo:uzzled:
look, i wouldn't hone your im out yourself. do you know what you are doing? what are you gonna do if you accidentally mess up and crack your im or throttle body? send it to onpol or extrude. mine is done by extrude.
correct me if wrong
If you ever notice dyno charts, its prolly not that you lost low end power, its prolly that its not as great in comparison to high. When you increase power on a motor it tends to create power through out the whole rev, just that a high end power mod will have its max gain at high end.
although I might be wrong because of the fact that if you have say a thicker pipe in a cat-back then it would actually slowdown you low rpm flow because your gases cannot fill the area as well to flow.
prolly best to just find the right parts fro your set up.

you have the right idea, but actually, you do lose some low end power. i forget who i talked to, but we were looking at his dyno chart and he explained that he did lose some low end.
