Default Anyone using an oil temp sensor

Anyone running an oil temp sensor?

I am curious what the oil temperature usually is during daily driving and hard driving.

Also let me know if you are STOCK or NA or Turbo/SC

thanks!

ambient temperature affects the speed at which it warms up.

once warmed up in winter,

during normal city driving/cruising, it sits around 180-190F
give it a little when you accelerate, it slowly rises to 210F

go up a big hill in the middle of summer, it goes around 240-250F
The highest i saw it was 260-265F just before the top of a large mountain range.

NA too

sounds like the coolant.

so they kinda stay around the same then?

hmm.

so the flash point of mobil 1 at 440f is pointless

and the higher Visocity index of the semi synthetic castrol is a better oil

being it make it hard ot break down.

my coolant sits rather static at 90-92C.
I think the E11 is reading the sensor slightly higher than the e6k.
e6k it sat around 88-90C

I've never seen the oil hit 300F, though I'm still N/A.
I'd be quite horrified if it did.
