Motiv is proud to announce the arrival of our 2nd gen(2000-2001) tiburon carbon fiber hoods. These hoods are made from high quality carbon fiber, with a fiberglass skeleton for added strength, and durability, using all stock mounting, and latch locations! These hoods greatly reduce the weight of your car over the front wheels (stock hoods weigh nearly 40 pounds, these weigh about 9!) All Motiv hoods come to you UV coated, so you can install them as is, and have the extra aggressive styling of a carbon fiber hood, or take it to your local paint shop! Remember to obey your local state/country laws for aftermarket parts, for offroad use only in some areas! Hood pins are recommended for installation.

We currently have 4 hoods ready to go, and a batch of 10 takes approx. 1 week to complete!

reverse vented (functional heat extractor) carbon fiber/composite hoods are a work in progress ( we do not post group buys on products that we don't have a mold or prototype of ) we will keep everyone posted on the status of these.

I'm looking for the vented hood but in fiberglass only(not carbon fiber) because I'm just going to paint over it anyways. I'm not crazy about CF stuff.

We have normal fiberglass vented hoods in the HP store. Motiv will be making vented carbon fiber hoods.

Right now we're working on X3 Accent hoods and we just started a group buy for LC Accent hoods. XD Elantra and GK Tiburon will most likely follow.

nyne, how many people do you have for this group buy so far?
I am interested, however i would like to know if that pic is of the protoype? ie, will all of the pits in the fiberglass frame be typical? and how far along are you with the vented hoods? estimated time until ready to set up another group buy for them?

also will the vented ones be dual vents like the sharkracing cf hood? or will it be one large vent? i ask b/c i don't like how the sr dual vents cut into the high beam curves on the hood.
