i am pretty sure you have a MAF sensor it is the little piece of plastic (almost in a "T" shape) right before the elbow that leads into your throttle body. which happens to be right before the IM

originally posted by Da TIBTIB[body]aight man......the top one that is connected to the plastic tube is ur MAF......that makes the bottom one ur Temp sensor....now ok.....this is what i did..no piping..no expensive intakes....just a cone filter....and with the help of some enginuity and the use of rubber(the filter didn't fit exactly on the MAF sensor so i had to make a little um..bushing or whatever the hell u wanna call it so it would fit snug)..i connected the filter straight onto the MAF sensor....and then drilled a wholein the side of the cone filter and stuck in the temp sensor...then i got a support that holds it from the bottom...i can get u a pic of what of what i did if u want just give me an e-mail.....

umm I dont think drilling into the side of the cone filter is the best way to do it
first of all it is not intended to be drilled into in other words it could wekean the strength of the cone
also the cone is designed to trap very small dirt particles so as not to let them into your engine so you would needa good seal around the edges of where you drilled and inserted the air temp sensor and if you have a regular cone filter may it be APC KNN or whatever there are no smooth surfaces to do this unless you smash the filter a little bit which sends us back to the structural integrity of the filter material.
