Default Re: turbo

Say what? hehehehe you need to research more, most of the time the "turbo" is universal there are different sizes of turbos, what makes it unique for each car is the tubing and the exaust manifold, the manifold that conects to the exaust and the turbo, the tubing is what comes from the turbo to the intercooler (optional) then to the throttle body. and another thing from what I've read in the forced induction forum the beta engine can take an average of 8 pounds of boost on stock internals. another problem is that you don't say what kind of turbo is your friend is telling you about (just to say a turbo of X car doesn't help much, model year etc. be more specific) another thing is that for one part I'm just a newbie, and the pros and the ppl that know about this will tell you to search and see the basics of how a turbo works in www.howstuffworks.com or use the forum search option. hey man were here to help each other but do your reasearch too. I did.... (and please all you grand poobas {sp?} don't flame me I'm just a newbie)
